Divine origins and the Fall

Genesis 1:26,27. . .”And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.”

In this verse we learn two things; The first verse God refers to Himself as ‘us’, meaning the Trinity: Father, Son,& Holy Spirit. A concept you can only understand if you’ve been born-again through repentance & faith in the blood of Christ and came to know Him as your Lord & Saviour. One God that exists in three distinct persons with Jesus Christ being God’s human form who stepped out of heaven 2000 years ago (in our time-in God’s it was just the other day) and became a living sacrifice for the sins of the world.
The second verse explains why the world is so messed up. One of the things that I hear people say keeps them from seeking/believing in God is that if God was really good & loving, why would He have the world so messed up. The answer is because He gave mankind dominion over the world. Being sinners that we are, that would eventually plummet the world into total chaos.
So, in those two verses, I pretty much summed up what’s wrong with the world and the solution to it, being God’s plan of salvation. The world won’t be made right again till the return of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ (Rev. 20, 21) and the only way to be right with God is to turn from your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus which is God’s christmas gift to us.
Although you can’t truly give your heart to God unless you love Him and you can’t love Him unless you realize what He’s already done for you 2000 years ago (in our time again-just the other day in the eternal time one), and you can’t really do that unless you’re being regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
