What is faith? Faith is trusting in God. Now we can see why anything that is not of faith is sin. The root cause of sin is not trusting in God-trying to control our own lives instead of turning our lives over to our creator.

To have faith in God (God actually gives faith to those who humble themselves before Him and put their trust in them-not something you have to muster up) you have to know that God is real and wants a relationship with you and rewards those that diligently seek Him.

Doesn’t necessarily mean He wants to give you everything you want but if He’s please with your progress in being conformed to the image of His Son He longs to occasionally reward us with earthly blessings as He sees fit.

If you’re in tune with God whatever desire is on your heart is likely whatever the Lord is calling you to do with your life. Just make sure you love God for who He is and not what He can give you-even if you are fortunate enough to be blessed with a lot in this life.
