“You can’t have everything. Where would you put it?”-Steven Wright
What is happiness and love going for on the open market these days? Granted these are freely given by the Divine, but if man could find a way to sell it. . .
Actually man can sell the illusion of love. This is called porn.
Someone once said that in the new age, love will be the new currency. The first thing that jumped to my mind was that the last time I tried to purchase anything with love I ended up in jail. (jk)
They say if you do what you love the money will follow. Although it seems like the most service oriented jobs don’t pay a lot. Jesus said you can’t serve God and mammon. You can make money by serving others, and get rich if you add enough value, but if it’s true service then money can’t be your end goal; if it is then we are just doing business.
If you make a living with you passion, you might end up hating it if you have to produce too much. This is why many people keep their passion as their hobbies.
Lastly, I saw a few fast food franchises that are paying $12-15 an hour. And that’s in places where the minimum wage is low. One is In-N-Out burger, but this could be because they are in California where the minimum wage is high anyway.
In-N-Out burger? Why does that name sound so dirty? Figures with a name like that you would come from California.
Maybe I should pursue a career flipping burgers. Any job can be a career if you enjoy it and have the resources to live on it. I would get to work behind a mic.
