Atheists claim not to believe in God because they can’t prove He exists. The. Bible tells us to live by faith and not by sight. An educated society may make for a better society, though educated types tend to reject the Divine because there is no evidence; or at least none they can see.
As an intellectual, I like to question everything. I like to try to figure out why I believe something. This has made me a freethinker, thus the bane of the established church. Note I said established because the true church has invisible walls.
My basic beliefs would align me with the Judeo-Christian faith. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder why I believe what I do. The fact that I catch myself quoting the Bible frequently confirms my beliefs. Especially if a certain verse is logical or consistent with the culture. And that is what makes the Bible stand out as the best selling book. Even nonbelievers admire it as a book of philosophy and wisdom.
Today’s verse reminds me that poverty is man-made and a mindset. If you believe in divine providence anyway. There is no way to prove this. Sometimes you just have to trust in it and quit over thinking everything.
Everyone knows that when we go through hard times, aka recessions or famines, the ones who get through it are the ones who are the most prepared. In many cases the ones who are the most prepared are the ones who put their trust in the Most High.
Prosperity is biblical but the invisible kingdom is more than money. That’s why we aren’t supposed to put our trust in material wealth. What some people lack in money, they make up for in other resources. Sometimes the ones who look poor on paper actually have a better quality of life.
