Are you free?

The biggest mystery in life is whether or not we have freewill? Most people assume we don’t. Life would often appear to the unenlightened to be predestined. This just means we have no control which means life just happens to us Talk about mental slavery. Your rulers and masters will have a field day with this because they will use it to control you. Until you develop enough spiritual discernment to break free and learn to rule yourself.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, self-reliance is really just a God-reliance.

We have freewill but our will is enslaved to our materialistic desires. Even Paul claimed to always do what he didn’t want to do and being unable to do what he wanted.

In the book of Genesis, God told Cain that if he did right God would bless him, but if did wrong then sin would lay in wait, crouching at his door. It was Cain’s choice.

We make our own choices in life, even if our motivations are buried in the subconcious mind.

If we are not free then we are a slave. Paul talks about being a slave to God. This just means a slave to righteousness since that is where righteousness comes from. A slave to doing the right thing, which is basically just trusting God for wisdom to make the best, common sense choice.

Yes, common sense is just intuitive divine wisdom No wonder in a godless world it is declining. You make your own choices and even if it’s the wrong one, if you are putting the Divine will first, then He brings something good out of it.

How to break out of prison

Romans 2:28-29. . .”“Who are Jews but those who have received the circumcision of the heart?”

I have to confess that in recent years I have found more spiritual fulfillment from sites like Chabad.  I experienced more spiritual growth since I became interested in Judaism a few years ago. This is not surprising since it is the parent to Christianity. It goes without saying that the most spiritual Christians just refer to themselves as Judeo-Christians.

That being said, I tried attending a few Messianic congregations only to find that there was too much “Christianity” in it. You will better understand this when you come to understand the difference between following the Christ and following the religion built around the Messiah.

In more recent years I discovered that I didn’t have to attend a Messianic church. I could just study Judaism on my own. I can also find the most spiritual congregations who are in touch with their Jewish roots. Even Paul said we are all spiritual Jews.

In one of the posts on Chabad that I read this week, it was saying that the best way to escape a prison cell was to make yourself small.  This is a great analogy for life which can seem like a prison.

Actually the material world is a prison. Our divine selves are actually free spirits. This is why we often feel trapped by the burdens placed on us by society.  Society will make us feel like we have some kind of moral obligation to produce and earn a higher income (making us economic slaves). It is even worse when the church does it because it perverts the message of Christ.

The humble, simple life is a high calling in scripture. The more you know God, the more you know yourselves. The more you realize where true wealth lies.  Rich and poor are relative terms.

The material world is hell. This is the only hell that exists is the ones humans create by making life complicated and stressful.

Living intentionally keeps you more focused on the Divine.

There is nothing wrong in and of itself with being materially ambitious. Even James, the half-brother of Jesus, talked about remaining humble in your high position. You can be as wealthy as you are driven to in the material world. Just don’t get too attached to it because this is when it borders on idolatry.

Pursue your dreams. Build an empire. Create all the wealth you want. Just remember to hold it with an open hand and to give back to humanity everything you have been blessed with. Actually if you don’t give back, the government will get ahold of it through taxes. Another reason why one is better off being poor, because if you really believe in divine providence then poverty doesn’t really exist and is completely man made.

My new religion

Paul said to become all things to all people so as to win some. I damn near became an atheist to win atheist and almost got converted myself. Then I realized some atheists may have more faith in “God”than religious people. They may be rejecting organized religion and not necessarily the Divine.

People that reject Jesus may not be rejecting God, but the distorted image that organized religion paints of it.

Nature has a natural order to it. Therefore it’s no wonder that anything man tries to organize turns to crap instantly.

The Bible itself is a collection of writings from the ancient Hebrews and we even screwed that up. But if you have discernment that comes from the Spirit, the Lord can still teach you from it. Especially if you do some research to find out what was being said in the original language and who the original audience was.

Here’s an Obama phone. Call someone who cares.

I was reading Obama success stories lately. . .

Okay that joke stops there.

Stop laughing

Someone pointed out what the number to the healthcare.gov spelled out. I didn’t even catch it.

Pretty sure it’s not just a coincidence.

No such thing as “healthcare”. It is neither a right or a privilege. It is a responsibility.

Healthcare is expensive because too many people are dependent on the system.

Politicians promise only a 2% tax increase. It won’t be long before all you get is a stipend and bave to live on public assistance because you can’t afford rent.

But hey, at least you have free healthcare and education.

We should stop calling it free. There are people out there who actually think it’s free.

Government doesn’t care about your health. They just want the control. It’s the same with Corporate America. If the latter offers health insurance, they can squash small business.

Come to think of it, corporatism is just socialism disguised as capitalism. Socialism is watered down communism. The federal reserve is central planning which is corporate communism.See the big picture yet?

Lord and savior Donald Trump?

I’ve heard so much Trump worship in recent years I begin to wonder if 2000 years from now society will organize a religion around Donald Trump and still be waiting for his second coming?

Sound familiar?

Political leaders used to build their own cult of personality. Now society worships these people on their own.

God told us through 1 Samuel that we don’t need a leader. Why do we always insist on having one?

The Kingdom of God is it’s own nation. But I guess that does sound a little dualistic when you realize there are two kingdoms that exist simultaneously, with one being invisible.

The political kingdom is a mirror of the spiritual kingdom. Basically an antichrist that tries to enslave us to materialism.
