What is with former Fox news anchorman Bill O’Reilly in recent years? I used to see a whole bunch of books by him where he was always talking about killing someone off:
Bill is apparently on the warpath again. But maybe I need to actually read his books before I assume anything. I probably won’t, I just said I probably need to before I judge.
I can think of a number of people who probably wish to see Killing O’Reilly. But I am going to leave that one alone. I never have been a fan of O’Reilly. Although I don’t have much of a problem with Glenn Beck. The latter is most likely too conservative for me though.
Psychosis is defined as being out of touch with reality. Who really wants to be in touch with reality anyway. Everyone has their own method of escape. Too bad no one chooses the method that is the most empowering, like reading.
They say you can create your own reality. But all this is is just doing your own thing within the one reality.
If psychosis is being out of touch with reality, what do you call being too in touch with reality? The schizophrenics may just be too in touch with a higher world that only they can see.Tbe interesting thing about paranoia is once you ground yourself in reality and learn to control the delusions, you get to see how paranoid everyone else is. After all it’s not crazy if everyone is paranoid together.
One of the biggest statements that I have seen or heard is that “the times are changing and we have to evolve with the times.” But do we really have to evolve with the times? I just want to clarify that I am one of the adaptable to change there are. But what if I don’t like the change that is taking place? Or the change is an insult to my soul and moral convictions?
For example, some of the latest trends involve men dressing like women, from skinny jeans to rompers. Hell, there are many men changing their whole gender. You can spot a man who is now a woman. They usually aren’t very attractive because you can tell they use to be a man. There are many who are not happy because they had to alter their whole DNA.
I have nothing against transgender people, I just believe it is more natural to embrace who you are. Trying to go against that is going to be a hard road. I can totally relate to men who struggle with their masculinity because they don’t fit society’s definition of what a man is supposed to be. I won’t go into detail here.
The Bible and Conformity to the world
With regards to the last statement, I say, what does your soul and your conscious tell you to be? Be that person. It doesn’t have to measure up to society’s standards. Especially since society is screwed up and largely an illusion anyway. I like what former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was quoted as saying: “There is no such thing as society. Only individuals and families.”
It should especially be a comfort that the Bible itself tells us not to conform to the ways of the world. The Good Book also says that friendship with the world is enmity towards the Divine. If you feel like the world is against you, then you are probably in line with the Divine will.
Sexual revolution: Evolution or Devolution?
Another gross example I hear about these days is how popular it is to eat ass. There I said it. Don’t be grossed out. You can’t ignore it or stop people from doing it. But you don’t have to do it yourself if it seems gross. But I guess from the standards of the established church it is okay to eat ass as long as you are married (aka committed to each other for life).
All I have to say is, if this is evolution then I am more than comfortable staying in my comfort zone. There is nothing wrong with being comfortable and living a life of bliss. Especially since life has no inherent meaning anyway, other than to revere the Divine and serve others in whatever capacity we find ourselves.
How to live as an outcast?
So what do you do when you suddenly become an outsider? Or you can’t keep up with the economy? The latter doesn’t mean you hate capitalism; it just means you find this hyper-capitalism to be exhausting. Follow your heart and seek the Divine will inside ourselves. Once you realize who you truly are, material desires begin to fade away. Once you embrace minimalism, you realize you don’t really need a lot of money to be happy.
The newfound freedom becomes addicting. You will have more energy to focus on whatever feeds your soul. Once you realize your true value, it won’t matter if you are poor by the world’s standards. There are other ways to be rich, or live richly.
Just because the world doesn’t value some of us doesn’t mean that we can’t value ourselves as human beings.
Now that I have simplified my life over the last six years, I am discovering that part of the secret to making money is solving complex problems. Man has a tendency to complicate things and this is actually where the money is at. The simple life may be the good life but it is not where the money is.
Being a minimalist is good. To a point, that is. But becoming a minimalist is not about the lack of ambition that many people think it is. Even the folks over at The Minimalist website (the Beckers in Arizona) consider themselves a middle class family. Minimalism is all about prioritizing what you want in life and making balance.
It is all about knowing yourself and what you truly want out of life. Essentially you minimize the clutter and maximize your potential elsewhere.
As someone on my social media feed said, the best way to find your calling in life is to ask yourself what problem you would like to solve.
The best way to market yourself is to make the problem sound as complicated as possible and then in the interview you go and make yourself sound like you are the only one who is able to solve said problem.
Play the game. Or white man’s game, or whatever you call it. Although it is not really just the white man’s game anymore.
My ability to simplify as a freelance writer resulted in getting paid less for jobs. When you get paid by the word, it is not a good idea to simplify content into less words. I read somewhere that even in novels, the authors have to insert fluff. The result is a 500 page novel may in all actuality just be a 100+ page short story.
Factor in that every time the author mentions a name brand product that the advertiser pays a bonus to the publisher and then subsequently to the author.
So basically, the secret to making money is to overthink and overcomplicate. Then proceed to solve the problem by creating another problem. Or maybe two or three more. Why not be an overachiever? Keep doing this for four or five decades until you can retire.
I saw actual frozen deep fried Twinkies one day when I was shopping at an Aldi in Fort Worth.
Talk about signs your economy is collapsing. We will pretty much sell anything.
Twinkies are the most popular food, yet cockroaches won’t even touch them. I doubt heating them up is going to change that. Each decade in the new century just gets better and better. I’m using that term loosely. But when you can find the humor in it. . .
