Getting to know “them”

I begin to lose my faith when I started to have better relationships with the “them” that I wasn’t supposed to associate with. But it was an eye opening experience.

If only the established church took the time to actually relate to “them”; whether it’s people of other faiths or even the lgbt community.

Actually when you study other religions, you realize religion itself isn’t so bad when you realize that true religion is about community, relationships, taking care of each other, and being uncorrupted by the world.

Sounds like socialism almost. Better to have a liberal church than a liberal government that forces us to take care of others through taxes. In comparison to other religions, Christianity looks kind of boring. Except for progressive Christianity which seems to be the only group that is open-minded enough to learn from other religions.

Friend of God

John 15:15. . .”I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father.”
The basic definition of a christian-friend of Almighty God by the blood of Jesus Christ. Kind of like the song “friend of God”. Like a preacher, and even a christian movie that I saw, a relationship with the creator of the universe is supposed to be an adventure. So why doesn’t it look that way when you look at most christians? Most christians to be honest look like they’re trying to hang on till the Lord comes for them.
