Things are getting weird down there on flat earth

I have heard so much bullshit the past few years that I begin to wonder if maybe earth really is flat. That title should get some attention. My new motto is “stay stupid or play stupid.”

I’m convinced none of the stuff we argue about down here is as important as we make it out to be.

Don’t believe what you hear on the news

Life is not nearly as bad as the advertising driven make it out to be. Most of society’s ills work themselves out in the private sector while most people are too distracted by politics to even notice.

They basically want the free healthcare so they can deal with the stress-induced illnesses caused by politics and their jobs.

Even Chinese people admit they don’t watch the news because these know it’s propaganda. They can’t figure out why Americans do it. And to think I went to college to be a journalist till I realized it was just organized gossip.

Practical reasons not to vote

When people ask me what party I am with, I just tell them I don’t join cults. Capitalism tends to worship money while Democracy worships the state. I heard a congressperson say the nation’s capital was even their temple!

I have no problem voting if there was a candidate that I actually liked. If voting makes a difference anywhere, it’s at the local level. Everything starts at the local level.

The basis for politics

Politics revolves around economics. Most economists are usually conservative or liberal. If there is a libertarian economist they probably have a small following. That is generally how you know something is true.

Come to think of it, most comedians vote democrat. This is probably because those overeducated wimps are so easy to roast. The only thing I can get on Republicans is sexually repressed geriatric humor.

In other news, notice in the last year and a half of the Coronavirus plandenic (not a misspelling) hardly anyone died of natural causes. What a miracle!

Also we are moving into July which is the start of Christmas season (commercially speaking). Less than 200 shopping days till Christmas.

Peace and Freedom: The two things man longs for the most

What are the two things that man secretly longs for? I’ll give a hint, it is not the things of the world. It is peace and freedom. We slave away for our freedom (the irony of working 70+ hours a week to be free, if you don’t die first). We kill for freedom, which is sometimes true though there is more to war than just fighting for freedom.

The Bible says everything we need is in the Spirit, or Christ or whatever you call it. It is righteousness, joy, and peace, Being lead by the spirit provides all three; knowing your purpose in life is to live in harmony with the Creator, forever and have assurance of a life beyond this one.

I have heard that joy and happiness are not the same thing. Actually joy is true happiness.

Embrace diversity by embracing tribalism. It’s okay to be different

I saw an articles recently that talked about how Democrats and Republicans are not only divided, but they have two different worlds.

It is also known that the public education system prepares us for a world that doesn’t even exist. This is why so many college graduates, after spending years in school, have breakdowns and mental health issues when they get out in the real world. If they grew up in the proverbial middle class family, reality will hit them even harder if they were sheltered by material comforts.

My point in this blog post, is why do we assume that something isn’t working just because everyone doesn’t do it?

  • Christianity (or any religion) fails because it can’t convert the whole world? Maybe not. Maybe the person is disenfranchised with the established church but still trust in the Divine indirectly. Especially since God, Jesus and other names have been changed so many times.
  • Capitalism is a failure because it didn’t make everyone rich? It doesn’t promised to. It only promised those with capital can enrich themselves. You can live richly with little or no money if you know how.

That’s just the two biggest examples. We view success and the so-called American Dream as being one sided. What if someone’s dream is to live off the land or live in an airstream down by the river?

It’s a big world. There is plenty of room for us to all co-exist and live differently. But different tribes have always fought each other, and even killed each other, because they couldn’t convert each other to their way of life.

The only way to have a peaceful world is to live and let live and respect each other’s decisions, as long as they aren’t hurting anyone. That is the definition of a free society. It’s okay to pursue wealth. It’s okay to be poor as long as you don’t mooch off people and have the wisdom to to know how to survive. In this sense you are not really poor. Just look up how third world countries chose sustainability over capitalism.

The worst thing one can do is create a god that will pronounce judgment on someone who doesn’t live up so certain societal expectations. But apparently we all do this to some degree.

I saw a quote by former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher that said “There is no such thing as society. There are only individuals and families.” Society puts the notion of expectations on us. This can lead to anxiety and depression. We are not promised tomorrow. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do things today that will ensure tomorrow is better.

Why do we push everyone into one category? The world would be boring if we were all the same. Embrace diversity and your own individualism. You don’t have to conform to any status quo. Life is inherently meaningless. We give our own life meaning by pursuing whatever gives us purpose.

The System is designed to control people who can’t think for themselves

One of my Daily E’isms (one liners) is that every time I think about finishing that last half of an undergraduate degree, I have this fear that it will get in the way of my real education (self-education).

It seems as if we are spending more time in school, and for every year we have to spend in school, it takes twice that to unlearn everything in the real world. That is if we can even function in the real world with all of that useless knowledge crammed into our heads most of our lives.

It has been said that the purpose of education is to teach people how to think and not what to think. The problem here is that no one can teach us how to think. We have to do that for ourselves. Any attempt to do so ends up being indoctrination, or teaching us what to think.

State schools try to promote democracy; it is absolutely amazing how good this system looks good on paper. But all it’s done is show us how nothing man creates works the way it is supposed to and everything gets corrupted.

The only thing Democracy accomplishes is making us lose faith in humanity. People that believe in this don’t understand how the world works. And once you learn this, it doesn’t make a difference if you try to start a revolution. American colonials succeeded at this because the elite let us. Within a century everything that we ran from caught up to us.

At least realizing how corrupt the world is has confirmed my convictions that there must be a Supreme being out there and something more to this life. Maybe it just exists on a higher realm that the naked eye can’t see, but has to be spiritually discerned.

Jewish Zionism and Evangelical Christianity, with the latter’s second coming belief, are only political systems trying to build a man made kingdom that is destined to fail.

In the words of Jesus, don’t look for the Kingdom here or there, it is within. Everyone looks for an escape from reality but on one wants to take the journey within.

What is the American Dream?

People today talk about the American Dream being a big house, white picket fence, 2.5 kids, and a car. Although that dream is dying, or evolving , into luxury apartments and an Iphone. But I don’t believe the original American Dream had anything to do with materialism; at least not until Corporate America took over everything after World War Two.

The original American Dream was freedom. The freedom to be anything you want. It still is. You are as free as you want to be. Materialism leads to economic slavery and is bondage. Of course, just like sex, it is not bondage if you are actually enjoying your job.

Most people aren’t materialistic. They are just trying to keep up with their peers. Peer pressure doesn’t stop just because you get out of high school

For me, I have this overwhelming urge to want to go against the status quo. It’s the reason I left college to try and succeed without college.

The new American Dream is working 70+ hours a week to pay for wood, hay, and stubble. If people didn’t depend on insurance as much, or healthcare in general, or go into debt to have everything, the economy would collapse

Maybe that is why they play the game. It’s not my way of wanting to die for my country.

You don’t have to make your life about work and money. If you add enough value, you can still get rich anyway. Even if you don’t get rich you can still value yourself. The secret to getting rich is knowing how rich you already are.

You can pray to God to show you how to be rich, but “He” will more than likely show you where true wealth lies; within.

The Talmud says a rich man is a person who is content with what they have. There are probably more rich poor people than poor rich people. I will let you think on that for a minute. . .or two.

If you are content with what you have and live within your means when you have little, you will be more generous if you ever attract an abundance. The abundant life Jesus was talking about was in spiritual things, unlike what the prosperity gospel teachers tell us.
