Mastering our predestination

Proverbs 20:24. . .”Man’s steps are ordained by the Lord, how then can a man understand his own way.”
Doesn’t sound like man totally masters his own destiny does it? God directs a man’s steps whether you know Him through Christ or not. Of course the common response is since God directs man’s steps then He’ll make sure everyone gets to heaven. Wrong!!! The other response is God will only save who He chooses and predestine the rest to be separated from Him (Calvinism), which isn’t biblical either since hell was created for Satan and his angels.

Our eternal destiny is based upon your heart’s attitude toward God. If you insist upon living in sin, which is basically trying to get your own way instead of trusting God to guide you, then your heart will harden and He will eventually give you over to the world. Of course God loves you and doesn’t want this to happen so He sent His only begotten Son to die for your sins.

God may direct the course of your life but He only saves those He has mercy on, those who put their faith and trust in Him through the blood of the Lord Jesus. I know one question a lot of christians ask is how nonchristians make it through their trials-the answer is by the grace of God.

The only difference is they aren’t aware of it and take full credit for getting themselves through their problems without seeking God. Which means the grace of God is at work to some extent in the lives of every person on the face of the earth. So the earth isn’t totally depraved at least. That would be a lack of the grace of God-which would be in a word-hell.

Real slavery

Exodus 3:7. . .”And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; for I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials.”

The Lord looked down on His people in Egypt and saw the bondage they were under and wanted to set them free and He chose Moses to be the vessel He used to do so. This is a foreshadowing of what God does for His people today through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Everybody is in bondage to sin which is caused by their own human desires to do their own thing instead of following and trusting in God and until they come to the end of themselves and put their faith in God through the blood of Jesus to set them free they will get deeper and deeper into sin and be separated from God forever in that state. The great mystery of whether one chooses to give become a christian or not since you can’t be saved till unless God intervenes in your life anyway since we’re all spiritually dead without Him. God knows a person’s heart and those that hate the life they’re living without Him and those that want to know God and those are the ones He reveals Himself too-in His timing and in His way. A sinner that loves their life without God will be given over to their own desires and they will become increasingly evil until they either come to the end of themselves or die and be cut off from God forever. I hope nobody on this list falls into that category.
